Geotechnical Engineering

Subsurface conditions significantly affect design, construction and performance of structures and can pose risks for development. Soil Consultants, Inc. reduces potential risks using its geotechnical engineering and testing experience. Our expertise includes field exploration services, laboratory testing, and engineering evaluation and reporting.

We have partnered with design teams to provide geotechnical expertise for design and construction of hospital, education, bridge, roadway, utility, transmission, commercial, mixed-use and residential projects. For each, we use our experienced exploration crews to assist with subsurface data collection, our AASHTO-accredited laboratory to determine soil properties, and extensive experience and ingenuity to create effective solutions.

We also provide geologic assessments for site selection and Phase 1 environmental site assessments. When required in conjunction with geotechnical services, Soil Consultants, Inc. works with specialty consultants to provide cultural resource surveys, endangered species surveys, jurisdictional waters and wetland determination and delineation services, asbestos-containing materials assessments and mitigation services, and lead-based paint containing assessments and mitigation services.
