Nondestructive Testing

Soil Consultants, Inc.’s nondestructive testing (NDT) staff are experienced and certified to provide a range of observation and testing services to assure that client’s’ projects are compliant with applicable codes and that appropriate weld procedures and qualified welders are used. Our nondestructive testing staff are certified in accordance with Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A under the authority of our ASNT Level III inspector. Our certified welding inspectors are certified by the American Welding Society (AWS).

We have an in-house shooting cell for radiography testing, in-house dark room for film development, and in-house viewing room for radiographic images. We also have mobile dark room capabilities that permit us to develop film on site for immediate evaluation by our radiography inspectors.

• Ground penetrating radar for determining reinforcement location and spacing in concrete and masonry elements

• Radiography testing (computed, X-ray, Iridium 192, and Cobalt 60)

• Reinforcing and base metal yield, tension and bend testing
